Wikipedia - P. League+

The P. League+ (stylized as P. LEAGUE+, abbreviated as PLG), pronounced as Plus League, is a Taiwanese men's professional basketball league founded in 2020.

History

The P. League+ was founded by Blackie Chen in 2020. It is the first fully professional basketball league in Taiwan after the Chinese Basketball Alliance (CBA) ceased operations in 2000. The first four teams participating in the inaugural season were the Formosa Taishin Dreamers, the Hsinchu JKO Lioneers, the Taipei Fubon Braves, and the Taoyuan Pilots. In its second season 2021–22, the P. League+ added two more teams, the New Taipei Kings and the Kaohsiung Steelers.

Die Taiwan - P.League ist eine professionelle Basketballliga in Taiwan. Die Liga wurde 2020 gegründet und löste die Super Basketball League (SBL) als höchste Basketballliga des Landes ab. Die P.League besteht derzeit aus sechs Mannschaften: Formosa Taishin Dreamers, Hsinchu JKO Lioneers, Kaohsiung Aquas, New Taipei CTBC DEA, Taichung Suns und Taipei Fubon Braves. Die reguläre Saison der P.League dauert von November bis April, wobei jedes Team 30 Spiele bestreitet. Die vier besten Mannschaften erreichen die Playoffs, die in einem Best-of-Seven-Format ausgetragen werden. Der Gewinner der Playoffs wird zum Meister der P.League gekrönt. Die P.League ist eine der beliebtesten Sportligen in Taiwan und zieht regelmäßig hohe Zuschauerzahlen an. Die Liga hat auch mehreren taiwanesischen Spielern geholfen, ihre Karriere voranzutreiben und bei internationalen Wettbewerben zu spielen.
